Moving Advice: General Tips

Access
Please make sure that all access ways and doors are clear and free of clutter. Advise neighbours that our van will be parked outside your home, and thus parking permits may need to be issued.

Delicates
Our team will safely pack all delicates, china, ornaments and glass.

Attic
For health and safety reasons we don’t enter a loft or attic which isn’t lighted or has a safe entry point. You may need to pack all items from the attic before our team arrives.

Compensation
In the unlikely event that you wish to make a claim for any breakages, please put the claim in writing to Clear Me Now within seven days of the breakage.

Dangerous Items
We can’t move any items that are flammable, volatile, toxic or dangerous. These will invalidate the insurance cover.

Appliances
Please disconnect all kitchen appliances, including fridges, freezers, washing machines etc. We can’t handle any appliances which are still connected to a live power mains.

Curtains
Please take down all curtains, blinds and other fixtures.

Packing
We offer a packing service separately, and if you have opted for this then we’ll pack the items ourselves, onto a flat surface, for insurance purposes. If you have decided to pack your items yourself, there is no insurance cover for these items.

During The Removal
You are required to be present at all times.

Self Assembly Furniture
Please dismantle all flat pack furniture before our arrival. If you need some help, have a word with your removal manager, who’s on hand to help. Please note that if we help in dismantling furniture, we’re afraid no insurance covers the items.
